and Flag Cheer did a great job! Our girls and coaches have worked hard all season preparing and practicing for the competition! We are so proud of you all and hope you had a great time!

9/30/2010 - Aquinas Cheer Competition Info:

Aquinas Cheerleading Competition-Saturday, 10/2 Aquinas Institute - 1127 Dewey Ave.

*Cheerleaders must arrive no later than 2:45 p.m. with hair done and in full uniform.

*Please allow extra time for travel to Aquinas. Traffic can backup at the entrance to the school, and parking is limited. There is another event being held at Aquinas before the competition, so plan on extra traffic.

*Admission is $3/person, children under 5 free.

*Signs and banners are allowed. Please remove before you leave.

*A concession stand will be open in the lobby.

*Please bring a hoodie or T-shirt to cover uniforms when eating

*Locker rooms will not be supervised. Aquinas is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

*Video cameras are not allowed.

*Merchandise/apparel will be sold in the lobby.

*Wear your BLACK, SILVER AND WHITE and be ready to make some noise for our girls!

Tentative Order of Events (subject to change):

3-4 p.m. Doors open, arrival, team warm-up

4-5:30 p.m. Flag Team Demonstrations (in alphabetical order)
Small/Large C Teams
Small/Large B Teams

5:30-6:00 p.m. Break

6-7 p.m. Small/Large A Teams

7 p.m. Awards Ceremony

9/6/2010 - Updates:

What a great job all of our girls did at last Sunday's game! It is so nice to see how far they have come since the first few days of practice!

Here are a few game day reminders as we continue on into our season:

Please remember to bring all parts of your uniform to every game. This includes the vest, skirt, wind suit, and rain jacket. Fall weather can be very changeable, and we often need to change into wind suits or back into skirts depending on the temperature. Hopefully we won't need the rain jackets, but it's good to be prepared.

Also, please send only water to drink and uniform safe snacks for the game. Things like pretzels or crackers work well and keep our uniforms stain free. Please don't buy concession stand items like hot chocolate or other food for the girls until the game is over and they have changed out of their uniform. Our uniforms are expensive and we try to keep them in top notch condition for future cheerleaders to wear.

The coaches and I appreciate your support with this. We feel very badly when we have to ask the girls to not eat or drink something that they have brought with them.

Hopefully next Sunday will be a little warmer :) , but don't forget that the girls can wear black gloves and black head bands on colder days. Thank you! Lori Richardson Cheer Coordinator

The AYFCL Cheer Competition will be held at RIT on Saturday, October 24th. Come out and support our girls! Doors open at 9am with the competition begining at 10am. Tickets do need to be purchased. The cost is $6 per person. Please visit the RIT Field House Box Office or Ticketmaster.

8/6/2009 - Rochester Elite All-Star Heat will be holding a cheer camp during our practice on August 17th and 18th. The cost for the camp is $25 per child and they will be training our girls on stunting progression and techniques. All registration forms and money is due by August 13th. 10/25/2008 - Congratulation to all the cheerleading squads for an excellent performance at the Annual AYFCL competition today at R.I.T. Our "A" girls took 1st place, our "B" girls took 1st place and our "C" girls took 2nd place. The flag exhibition also was excellent. Way to go girls. Also, a special thanks to all the coaches for putting fine routines together for this years competitions. Photos to be posted soon.

10/04/2008 - Congratulation to all the cheerleading squads for an excellent performance at the Aquinas competition. Our "A" girls took 1st place, our "B" girls took 4th place and our "C" girls took 2nd place. Lets continue perfecting our routines in practice as we prepare for the annual AYFCL tournament.

10/6/2007 - Congratulations to all the cheerleading teams today at the cheer competition at Aquinas. The "C" and "B" team girls took 1st place. The "A" team girls took 3rd place. All of the performances were outstanding. Great job to the girls and the coaching staff.

10/21/2006 - Congratulations on excellent performances this weekend at the annual AYFCL competition. Our "A" team took 1st place, our "B" team took 3rd place and our "C" team took 2nd place. All of the cheerleaders did a super job this year.

10/19/2006 - It is with MUCH sadness that we have to say goodbye to Marcey Garno and Sarah Burritt, our A Team coaches. Their efforts and commitment to their girls is evident in their performances and we are forever grateful for the leadership they have shown throughout their years with the Raiders! We wish you both much luck in your future endeavors!
