2008 Upcoming Elections

Latest Updates:

The 2008 Elections are upon us.

Raiders Families:

This Sunday (November 11th) is equipment turn in.  During the hours of 10:00am till 1:00pm all parents of children in the program will have the opportunity to vote for open board positions.  The following is a brief bio on those running.

President (running unopposed)

Jon Frase

I have been involved with the Hilton Raiders for 6 years.  I’ve been the President for the past 2 years.  Prior to President, I was the voice of the Raiders announcing the home games, something I still enjoy doing.  I also was co-chair for the golf tournament for 2 years.  I put together the flag pole project, and with the help of Dan Butts, the brick project.  The project was designed to add to and beautify our field as well as become a small fund raiser for years to come.

My wife, Laura, and three children, Amanda, Tim and Mark, have been and still are involved in the program.  Laura has been a tremendous help over the past two years coordinating our banquets and ordering awards and trophies.  This year she put together Cadet Day as well as serving as a Volunteer Coordinator.  My daughter Amanda was an A Team cheerleader and has since come back to teen coach for the past five years for C, B and A Teams.  My oldest son Tim spent 5 years in the program playing one year on C Team, two years on B Team and two years on A Team before moving on to the Cadets.  My youngest son Mark has played 4 years, two on C Team and two on B Team, and will be back to play for A Team in 2008.

As many of you know I take great pride in our organization and will be back for another term.

Football Coordinator (running unopposed)

Dan Butts

I have been involved with the Hilton Raiders for 4 years.  I have spent the last two years as Football Coordinator.  I have worked on the brick project (with the help of Jon Frase).  The project was designed to add to and beautify our field as well as become a small fund raiser for years to come.

My wife, Shelley, and two sons, Matt and Ryan are involved with the Hilton Raiders Organization as well.  Shelley has served as the Merchandise Coordinator this past year.  Matt has played four years with the Raiders.  One year on flag, two years on C Team and this year on B Team.  Ryan has played flag the past 2 years.

I look forward to another term as Football Coordinator.

Treasurer (two candidates)

1)  Jim Steiger

I have been involved with the Hilton Raiders organization for (4) years.  The past (2) years have been spent on the Raiders Board as Treasurer.

Currently I have (4) of my children involved in the Raiders program.  This year I had a player on Flag Football, C-Team Cheerleading, A-Team and B-Team Football.

Professionally I work in the Treasury Department for a locally based payroll and human resource services provider.

I enjoy spending time with the Raiders as the organization provides children in our community with a well structured, competitive, and fun league to participate in.

vs.

2)  Julie Stoddart

My name is Julie Stoddart and I’m running for the Treasurer position for the Hilton Raiders Football and Cheerleading League.

I live in Hamlin with my husband, Charley and sons, Cody and Dylan.  I’ve been involved with Hilton Raiders for 5 seasons as a football player Mom.  Cody started in 2003 on the C-Team and has played his 5th and final season this year.  Dylan completed 2 years on flag football, 2 years on C-Team and will be on the B-Team for the 2008 season.

Based on the years involved with Raiders, I believe I will be an asset to the organization.

VOTE FOR ME!!!!!!

Communications Coordinator (running unopposed)

Debbie Masias

Debbie lives in the Village of Hilton with her husband and children, two of which participate in the “A” Team Football and Cheer squad.  She is employed by Excellus BCBS as a Business Intelligence Solutions Analyst, specializing in web-based Enterprise Reporting.  Additionally, she is founder of “BusinessSolutions by Design”, a company that builds customized, interactive reporting solutions for small businesses that provide visibility into key components that can impact the success of a business.

As Manager of her step-daughter’s travel soccer team, Debbie is responsible for maintaining the team website, addressing parent questions and concerns in a timely manner and handling all communications addressed to the team.  Debbie is experienced and committed to promoting a healthy, team-oriented environment for both participants and their families.

As witness to the commitment and dedication of families to this organization - and the enjoyment she and her family have found in it – Debbie Macias would like the opportunity to serve as Communications Coordinator.
